TV VIEWERS saw the inner workings of Stroud District Council's planning team in the BBC 2 documentary The Planners last night.
The fight to save the Lemon Field in Minchinhampton featured as did a new wedding venue at Elmore Court and the controversial application for four wind-turbines in the Berkeley Vale will also feature in the eight-part series.
SDC's planning officers were followed by a film crew throughout last summer.
Phil Skill, head of planning at SDC, said: "The nature of what we do often puts us in the headlines.
"The controversial decisions we are asked to make mean that people tend to have strong opinions about us, so it was a great opportunity to show what really goes on and highlight some of the issues we face."
