ENJOY an Irish dance with a live band, buffet and auction as part of our Help James Walk appeal.

James' family have organised an Irish night at the Whitminster Inn on Saturday, February 23, from 7pm to midnight.

"We thought it would be a fun way of fundraising and we hope lots of people will come along," said Terry Dwight, James' grandfather.

"There has been a great response to the appeal so far and we have been overwhelmed by the generosity."

Tickets are £20 and are available from the SNJ office in Lansdown, Stroud.

So far, the appeal has raised more than £16,000 towards the £35,000 target which will pay for an operation to enable James to walk.

James, nine, from Arlingham, suffers from a form of cerebral palsy, which causes tightening in the muscles of his legs, leaving him in pain and unable to walk unaided.
