LOVE is in the air at Slimbridge Wetland Centre this Valentine’s Day.
As part of the celebrations visitors to the centre can follow a special love trail through the grounds this week and learn about the mating habits and love-making rituals of various bird species.
Visitors can then vote for their favourite feathered couple once they get back to the Centre.
Sally Munro, marketing manager, said: "This is an exciting time of year as birds are doing their courtship displays, calls and dances.
"The Bewick’s swans mate for life and show extreme devotion to their one partner – whereas the magpie goose male chooses two females and the three of them will rear their young together."
