12-year-old boy attacked by 'Staffie type' dog in Stroud

A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was attacked by a dog in Stroud on Tuesday.

The boy was running along Brick Row between 3.15pm and 3.45pm when a 'Staffie type' dog ran towards him from a car park.

It attacked the boy causing bite marks to his arm, scratches to his stomach and bruising.

He was taken to Stroud hospital for treatment.

The dog is described as dark in colour with a red collar.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 247 of February 12.

Poor kid, I was bitten by a dog when on my bike. It was a Border Collie, I was moving, it chased, game over.
A bit of common sense by owners in public areas are needed, beatrice can get very protective all of a sudden if they see something fast approaching. No need for a cull of owners quite yet either.
