PRINCE Charles will open Uley Community Stores and Post Office during a visit to the district on Friday.

HRH will meet volunteers who were involved in the four-year struggle to save the store.

Afterwards he will tour the shirt making division of Turnbull & Asser in Quedgeley to commemorate the factory's tenth anniversary.

The company has produced shirts for The Prince of Wales since 1980. See stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk for pictures on Friday.
