PUT your best foot forward and support Fairtrade with a walk from Stroud to Nailsworth next month.
Members of the Nailsworth and Stroud Fairtrade groups have organised a walk linking the two towns on Saturday, March 16, to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight - a national campaign to raise awareness of the Fairtrade industry.
Sue Nicholson, of the Nailsworth group, said: "We will be calling into pubs and cafes along the way for some Fairtrade refreshments and hope to spread the word about the way Fairtrade provides a hand-up for small independent producers in some of the poorest parts of the world."
Walkers will leave Stroud farmers' market at 11am with an official send-off from Stroud's town mayor, and will follow the Stroud Valleys cycle route to Nailsworth to be greeted by the Mayor of Nailsworth at around 2pm.
