A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged with stabbing and attempting to rob a pizza delivery man at an address in Stroud.

Adam Roberts, aged 18, of Bisley Old Road, Stroud, appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday charged with assault and attempted robbery.

The court was told that the deliveryman, an Iranian Kurd, needed eight stitches in his arm following an incident during the evening of Monday, February 4.

It is alleged that after arriving at an address in Stroud, the door was locked and the man was stabbed.

He was stabbed in his left arm and needed five stitches to his forearm and three in the upper arm.

Roberts also faces a separate charge of attempted robbery relating to an alleged incident during the afternoon of that day.

It is alleged that Roberts punched a young man and demanded money from him in Stroud.
