LEONARD Walker butchers in Nailsworth are sizzling with pride after scooping six awards in a trade competition.
The business in George Street won the accolades for its range of speciality sausages and burgers at last month's British Pig Executive (BPEX) regional roadshow.
A gold award went to its pork sausages at the event held at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern on February 20.
Its pork and apple spiced burger, one of a variety of products proudly created in-store, also won gold.
Among its free range silver award-winners was its mouthwatering Nailsworth Banger, alongside its Malmesbury Sausage, Gloucester Sausage and Traditional Pork Sausage.
"It is a great achievement," said Stephen Walker, who has worked for the family firm for 25 years.
"We are always striving to make the perfect sausage so we are very pleased to be recognised by the judges.
"We have another competition in April and we are constantly changing our recipes to make our sausages even better."
