CAST members from the upcoming stage production of Cider With Rosie visited Slad on Monday for a unique insight into the life of Laurie Lee.
Actors from the Everyman Theatre Company visited the author's grave, his childhood home and the Woolpack Inn during a tour of the village made famous by his novel.
Charlie Hamblett, who will play young Laurie Lee in the production, played his violin while the other cast members, including Susie Blake from Mrs Brown's Boys, danced outside the pub.
Cider With Rosie is at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham from Thursday, March 21 to Saturday, March 30.
See next week's SNJ for more on the production.
