Time Team’s Mark Horton to tour the canals of Stroud

TV presenter professor Mark Horton will make his inaugural tour of the Cotswold Canals on Saturday, March 16.
Professor Horton, from the shows Time Team and Coast, has given his full backing to the canal project and will act as the face of the trust at public events.
Saturday’s tour will familiarise Professor Horton with the key projects taking place on the canal and to give him an overall picture of the restoration.
The tour will start at 10.15am at Inglesham Lock where the River Thames joins the canal, followed by visits to the new workshops and restored lock at Eisey.
At 3pm the tour will finish with a boat trip on the recently restored canal from Ebley in Stroud to the unique Ryeford double locks.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
