THREE-year-old Isabel Newman is squeaking with joy after her favourite toy, Miss Mouse, was returned to her last week.

The soft toy was lost in Stratford Park on Wednesday, February 6 when Isabel and her mum Emma were walking to Archway dental practice.

Emma and her husband James appealed to the SNJ for help in finding the toy and last week a reader bought the little white mouse into the newspaper.

"We are so grateful and would like to send a massive thank you to the anonymous lady who handed her in," said Emma who moved with her family  from London to Stroud last May.

"Isabel has had Miss Mouse since she was born, it is like living with Stuart Little.

"When we thought she was lost for good I even rang the company that made her but unfortunately the toy was no longer in circulation. In the end I had to sew her a new one and told Isabel that Miss Mouse was on holiday."

According to Emma Miss Mouse is tired out after her travels and looking forward to a nice big sleep and lots of cuddles from Isabel.
