Removal man Julian Court ended up doing a job for a Channel 4 documentary after placing an advert in the SNJ
WHITE van man Julian Court ended up doing a job for a Channel 4 documentary after placing an advert in the SNJ.
Julian, who specialises in furniture removal and house clearances, advertises in the paper every week.
His advert prompted a call from a researcher for the programme Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, which featured actress Daphne Neville, well known in the Five Valleys for hand-rearing pet otters at her home in Frampton Mansell.
Daphne is a self-confessed hoarder whose home is packed with memorabilia from her interesting life.
During the hour-long episode on Wednesday, March 13, a cleaning expert tried to get Daphne to part with some of her clutter and Julian had the job of taking it to charity shops or the tip.
"The hardest part of the job was getting an old settee down the stairs but it wasn't shown," he said.
"I don't know how they got it up there originally, because we ended up having to take a sledgehammer to it."
