GREEN energy company Ecotricity has deepened its links with wildlife charity the RSPB.
The partnership will see Ecotricity work with the RSPB to help protect wildlife when developing renewable projects, with the charity having a greater input into site selection.
Ecotricity will also help the RSPB with their plans for green energy, improved energy efficiency and electric vehicle charge points at wildlife reserve visitor centres.
The company's founder Dale Vince said: "We're already making green energy to cut the carbon emissions that cause climate change, which in turn impacts habitats and wildlife.
"This partnership takes that one step further, making closer links between nature and green energy."
RSPB head of energy and climate, Harry Huyton, said the partnership will unite Ecotricity and the wildlife charity in their 'common mission of a renewable revolution in harmony with nature'.
He added: "We hope that other energy companies will follow suite and put nature conservation at the heart of their businesses too."
