TEEN model Tiegan Bingham-Roberts is travelling to Cheshire this weekend for the final of the competition Miss Teen Model UK.

Tiegan, 14, who lives in Court View, Stonehouse, has been modelling since she was seven but only sees it as a hobby.

"I would love to work for magazines as a graphic designer which is why now I’m trying to get as much modelling experience as possible so that I know how the business works," said Tiegan, who is in Year 10 at Maidenhill School.

Tiegan found out about the competition through a modelling website.

"It just seemed like a great way to get noticed and also the prizes are absolutely fantastic as I would get my very own photo shoot," said Tiegan, who also enjoys athletics and rounders.

To reach the final Tiegan had to send in a portfolio of photographs and also get a company to sponsor her.

"I approached Feel Good Factor in High Street, Stonehouse, which agreed to sponsor me and will also be doing my hair and make-up on Sunday," she said.

Tiegan and her mum Nikki will be arriving at the Daresbury Park Hotel in Cheshire at 4pm on Sunday for a dress rehearsal and a catwalk preparation workshop before the competition starts at 7.30pm.
