A CHARITY auction raised almost £3,000 for Avening Primary School.
A holiday in the South of France, beauty treatments and a drive in a Porsche were just some of the prizes up for grabs at the Auction of Promises earlier this year.
The school accepted a cheque of £2,957 at a special assembly on Tuesday, June 18.
Headteacher Jane Rushton said: "We were delighted with the generosity of the bidders.
"It means that the children at Avening will benefit for months to come."
The event was organised by the Friends of Avening School with support from local businesses, parents and school staff.
More than 60 items were up for auction and the proceeds will go towards a number of projects at the school.
