POLICE have issued a warning after a 74-year-old woman was charged £200 for cleaning items by a doorstep caller.
The man called at the woman's home in Burleigh at 1.45pm on Friday, June 7 claiming to be poor.
He was allowed inside and asked if the woman wanted to buy some dusters, a floor cloth, garden shears and insoles for shoes.
The woman was then asked to write a cheque for £200, which she did but later cancelled.
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 466 of June 7.
