Walking for Health ticks all the boxes; physical, mental and social. These led walks take place in Nailsworth at 2pm each Tuesday departing from the library. Everyone is welcome; you may even like to consider training as a walk leader to help this ever growing group of folk expand their repertoire. Duration is for approx one hour and covers the myriad of footpaths (and a few roads) in and around the town. For info call 01453 832907 or visit www.strollinginstrouddistrict.org.uk to view other walks in the district. The Monday Pacerpole 1 - 11⁄2 hour walk for posture will remain at 7pm on Monday, for the duration of the ‘summer’. Other walks can be arranged as and when required. Call the above number for details. There is now a shorter walk by popular request. This is on the third Tuesday of each month. It starts at the library at 2pm and lasts about 45 minutes. It will suit those wanting to get back into walking in a more gentle way, and also those who have joined us before, but who have felt that the duration of the current walking programme is a little too long and possibly a little too steep.
