QUIRKY elements of Stroud life are being posted on a Facebook page.

Not Unusual For Stroud page has received nearly 5,000 likes, with visitors being encouraged to upload pictures of unusual sights from across the area.

So far posts have included a sign which reads 'lorry drivers beware please do not drive into this wall' and a photograph of two alpacas on Minchinhampton common pictured in a way which make them look like one animal with two heads.

Another page called Spotted: Stroud/Stonehouse has also been created to allow Facebook users to post pictures or general comments about the district.

There are posts from secret admirers, messages of thanks to businesses which provide good customer service plus a few naming and shaming posts.

Although the page is growing in popularity, there has also been some criticism about the naming and shaming element.
