FUNDRAISERS are being encouraged to take a break with a cuppa so that patients and carers can enjoy a well-earned break.

By holding a vintage tea party for friends, family or colleagues, you can raise vital funds for Cotswold Care Hospice.

Just £25 will help pay for an hour of nursing care in someone's home by one of the charity's Hospice at Home nurses.

That support provides crucial respite for carers who are fulfilling a loved one's last wish to spend their final days at home and not in hospital.

"Holding a tea party is a wonderful way to unite people and enjoy each other's company," said Jules Eaton, chief executive of Cotswold Care Hospice.

"By asking your guests to make a small donation can add up to make a real difference to the people we support every day."

The charity will send out a fundraising pack with recipes, tips, invitations to send to your guests, posters and even bunting.

If you don't fancy organising your own tea then people can come to a vintage tea at Cotswold Care Hospice on Monday, August 19 at 2pm.

Tickets are £5 and must be booked in advance.
