CATAPULT on down to The Museum in the Park for the chance to explore ancient inventions and mechanical marvels.
A travelling exhibition which has delivered presentations all around the globe is currently stopping off at the museum.
It is running alongside the Birds and Beasts mosaic workshop, giving people of all ages the opportunity to have hands-on experience with some of the most ancient inventions in civilisation, including catapults, mosaics and Archimedes’ screw.
Laura Schollar, visitor assistant at the museum, said: “These hands on exhibitions are very popular. The pleasure families get working together is amazing.”
Abigail Large, who also works at the museum, added: “It encourages people to see the wonder of mathematics. What’s wonderful is families coming in and staying for hours.”
The exhibition is free of charge and is open from 10am until August 26.
