THE NEWLY formed Stroud District Road Safety Liaison Group is encouraging drivers to check their brake lights after a recent survey showed that one car in 10 had at least one faulty light.
Advanced driving instructor and group member Gareth Zimmerman said: "Brake lights serve a valuable purpose and when they are not working they make a rear-end collision more likely. A guilty driver could also face a £60 fine and three penalty points on their licence."
