Free kids cookery classes with the Stroud Food Festival
BUDDING young cooks are being offered free cookery classes as part of this year’s Stroud Food Festival, which takes place on Saturday, September 7 at Stratford Park.
The food festival has teamed up with The Wiggly Worm Charity and Whole Foods Market to offer children attending the event the chance to create a variety of nutritional delights.
Children aged between eight and 12 are eligible for the classes, which will last between 45 minutes and an hour and will run from 10.30am to 4pm.
"We're really pleased to be able to offer these free cookery classes to children," said food festival organiser Grahame Day, of Kendrick Street Deli.
"While the children are safe in the marquee cooking with quality seasonal produce, their parents will be able to peruse our food stands or watch a demonstration in our food theatre.
"And who knows, we may even be helping children to unlock a talent they never even knew they had."
