Winning wag...Charlie Mead, eight, with Bella, who won the rosette for waggiest tail in the dog competition at Oakridge Village Show on Saturday
A DOG display, karate demonstration and gleaming classic cars were just some of the highlights at Oakridge Village Show on Saturday.
The ever-popular annual event attracted hundreds of entries for the competitions ranging from vegetable to flower arrangement and baking to photography classes.
Eight-year-old Charlie Mead’s dog Bella won the waggiest tail competition and a group of youngsters entertained crowds with a karate display.
An auction of produce and donated items helped raise £2,000 for the Hope For Tomorrow charity, which provides a mobile chemotherapy unit.
Rosa Woodley, events and community fundraiser for the charity, said: “We were absolutely delighted to be chosen as the beneficiary for this year’s Oakridge Village Show. The event was a great success and we would like to thank all those involved for helping to raise such a fantastic amount of money."
