Cotswold Care Hospice campaign off to great start
A CAMPAIGN to raise money for Cotswold Care Hospice is off to a great start.
So far the charity’s Take Time for Tea campaign has raised £5,000 with more money pledged to come in.
That includes funds raised from a recent vintage tea party held in the hospice grounds at Minchinhampton. People are being encouraged to organise a tea party so that patients and carers can enjoy a well-earned break.
Just £25 will help pay for an hour of nursing care in someone’s home by one of the charity’s Hospice at Home nurses, which provides crucial respite for carers.
The charity will send out a Take Time for Tea fundraising pack with recipes, tips, invitations, posters and bunting. Jules Eaton, chief executive of Cotswold Care Hospice, said: "By asking your guests to make a small donation money raised can make a real difference to the people we support every day."
