Nailsworth art exhibition draws in the crowds
MORE than 300 visitors enjoyed an art exhibition at St George's Church in Nailsworth over the weekend.
Watercolour paintings, photography, 3D art, stained glass and ceramics were just some of the techniques on show at the Nailsworth Art Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
Dozens of professional and amateur artists exhibited their work along the aisles with many items available to purchase, which helped to raise around £2,000 for St George’s Church and the Cotswold Care Hospice.
Organiser Martin Stone said: "It was a huge success and the natural light and ecclesiastical setting helped set off a perfect show.
"Having the church open for such an event is vital in these days.
"More than half of those who popped in had never been to St George's but now have a bit of an understanding of the church, its artefacts and history along with its place in the town."
Organisers would like to thank all who helped with the Nailsworth Art Festival.
