Paramedic vehicle and car in collision on Ebley Bypass

A PARAMEDIC vehicle on an emergency call was involved in a collision with a car on the Ebley Bypass this afternoon, Monday.
The road was closed for more than an hour but reopened at 3.45pm.
It is expected to close again while recovery is completed later this afternoon.
The fast response paramedic vehicle was on an emergency call out at 2.10pm and was at a set of traffic lights when it was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus, registered to Newcastle upon Tyne.
Fire crews attended and had to remove the roof of the Ford Focus.
The driver, a 65-year-old woman, has suffered pelvic injuries.
