Chalford noisy neighbour has sound system confiscated
A SOUND system was confiscated from a Chalford flat by police and council officers after the owner failed to comply with a noise abatement notice.
The individual had been served with the notice to stop him from disturbing neighbours with loud music.
However, after continuing to cause a nuisance, police and council staff executed a warrant at the property in Hill Top View and remove the hi-fi equipment and speakers.
Stroud District Council’s environmental protection manager Robert Weaver said: "The police were very helpful in assisting us to seize the equipment, and the warrant was executed with great professionalism by all concerned.
"We are very satisfied with the outcome and hope that neighbours will be pleased with the action we have taken."
