Arsonists set fire to Cashes Green footbridge
A FOOTBRIDGE in Cashes Green has been set alight for the second time in six months causing damage which will cost in the region of £3,000 to repair.
Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened between midnight on Sunday, September 1, and 5.40pm on Monday, September 2, at the nature reserve just off Hyatt Road.
The offenders set fire to a five metre stretch of walkway made of recycled material.
It is the second time the bridge has been targeted by arsonists this year after it was set ablaze in April. On that occasion it cost £6,000 to repair.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 364 of September 2.
