Alternative Fringe Festival organisers thank those who supported event
ORGANISERS of the Alternative Fringe Festival would like to thank everyone who supported the weekend.
Heavy rock fan Nutzie Shelley staged his own mini music festival in Stroud this summer after claiming organisers of the town's fringe festival had turned their backs on alternative bands.
His Alternative Fringe took place at Sugar nightclub in Nelson Street during the main fringe from August 30 to September 1.
“It was a weekend that will live within this town’s history, said Nutzie, 27, a promoter who runs live music nights across the country.
“Huge respect and thank you to all the bands who played. You were all incredible.
“The staff who made this happen were the heart of this event and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work."
Nutzie, lead singer of punk metal band Broken Jaw, added: “To the crowds on each day, without you those performances wouldn't have been as meaningful.
“You are the reason people like me go on stage and give it our all.
“And finally, to those who missed it I’m sorry because you missed being part of something incredible.”
