Battered man wakes up in hospital with no recollection of how he got there
POLICE are attempting to establish what happened to a man who woke up in hospital with facial injuries including two black eyes, a swollen nose and cuts to the head.
The 41-year-old Gloucester resident was out in the city centre on the evening of Monday September 2 when he suffered the injuries.
He talked to a Liverpudlian man in The Chambers pub in St Aldate Street at around 8.30pm and then recalls being in an alleyway in Eastgate Street.
He was found there by a member of the public and admitted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital at 1.30am on Tuesday September 3.
