STROUD Valley Primary’s September Sizzle proved a sterling success as stallholders helped to raise a staggering sum for the school on Saturday, September 21.
The annual fete, which ran from 2pm until 5pm, raised in the region of £1,400 for the school and saw families flock to the event.
Youngsters were entertained by balloon modeller and magician Magic Fillipo and also enjoyed welly wanging, hook-a-duck, splat-a-rat and face painting, as well as music from Stroud Ukelele Band.
There was also a bouncy castle, bungee run and human fruit machine, while adults made the most of the tea and cake stalls, the bar and the barbeque.
Rachel Henderson, chairman of the PTFA, said: “The fete went really well. It was very well attended and we made a profit of about £1,400 which was absolutely fantastic.
“The money will now be put back into the school to pay for whatever it needs.”
