Police carry out speed checks in Nailsworth
POLICE in Nailsworth have been carrying out speed checks in and around the town over the past few weeks after members of the community raised concerns about speeding vehicles in the area.
Between Thursday, September 12, and Tuesday, September 24, officers and PCSOs were positioned on the A46 at Inchbrook Trading Estate, Rodborough and Dunkirk Mills at various times of the day.
Sergeant Dan Wood said: “We are very keen to address the issues our local community raise. The issue of speeding has come up time and time again and we are determined to be proactive in our response in dealing with what matters to local people.
"Officers are being robust in how motorists are dealt with and those exceeding the limit will be reported."
