GLOUCESTERSHIRE County Council is supporting a national campaign encouraging smokers to quit for 28 days during October and add up to seven days to their lives.
Stoptober starts on Tuesday, October 1 and runs for 28 days.
Tomorrow, Friday, a stop smoking event is being held between 1pm and 2pm at Stroud Hospital where smokers who want to quit can get support, motivation and information.
