Children's Author Christopher Edge opens brand new £18,000 library at Thomas Keble School
CHILDREN'S author Christopher Edge helped pupils at Thomas Keble School start a new chapter after opening their brand new library.
Teen thriller author and former teacher Mr Edge, who lives in Gloucestershire, met the pupils during a series of workshops at the school in Eastcombe on Friday when he opened the newly refurbished £18,000 library.
Headteacher Julia Maunder said: “This dynamic space will enable us to host more author and poet workshops for our students.
“Reading for pleasure is a vital skill that we support wholeheartedly at Thomas Keble and every student now has a timetabled lesson in the library to encourage them to read for pleasure.”
The library, funded mainly by money raised from the Thomas Keble School Association, had a complete overhaul including new flooring and lighting, a technology upgrade and more space for books.
