SNJ columnist Pam Browne raised more than £500 for the Great Western Air Ambulance for her 60th birthday.

Pam celebrated her birthday on Friday, September 27 – the same day Stroud Maternity Unity celebrated its 60th anniversary.

She was invited along to the celebrations at the hospital with her father Herbert Wright where she was given a bouquet of flowers and a tour of the new birthing suites.

“I also had a bit of a do in the evening at Minchinhampton Golf Course with a significant number of old and new friends,” said Pam, who lives in Minchinhampton.

“Instead of presents I suggested that a donation to the Great Western Air Ambulance would be more appropriate and am very happy to say that more than £500 was raised.”
