Stonehouse library decision

The idea of closing the current library in Elm Road and moving it to the high street has come from Gloucestershire County Council, which runs some library services.
At a meeting on Monday, June 10, the town council was agreed to ask in principle to sharing its town hall accommodation with the library service.
However councillors were unwilling to make a decision until there had been some public consultation on the issue.
The town council is now working with the library service in Stonehouse to decide on the best way to carry out the consultation process.
The results of the completed survey will be available to view on the town council website by the end of the week.
