A WOMAN has been charged with attempting to steal a firearm in the Gloucestershire badger cull zone.
Madeline Buckler, 31, of Kings Moss Lane, in Kings Moss, Merseyside, was arrested on Friday night as part of Operation Themis, Gloucestershire Constabulary’s response to the pilot badger cull, following an incident in Newent on Wednesday (October 9).
She has been charged with attempting to steal a firearm (Criminal Attempts Act 1981) and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause another harassment alarm or distress (Public Order Act 1986).
She has been bailed to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 20.
