THE Conservative Party’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Cheltenham Alex Chalk has joined Liberal Democrat MP Martin Horwood in opposing the downgrading of services at the town’s A&E department.
Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, which is leading a campaign to have a full 24/7 A&E service restored in the town, said it was ‘delighted’ to have the support of both politicians.
The downgrade of the A&E department is also being opposed by Cheltenham Borough Council.
