GET inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol for this year's Victorian themed Stonehouse Goodwill festival.
The event on Saturday, November 30 will be officially opened at 2.15pm by Miss Gloucestershire, Laura Entwistle, who will also be on hand to award prize's for the best costume.
Children will have the opportunity to visit Father Christmas and his grotto in the high street doctors surgery and can also have their photo taken with him for a donation to Laura’s charity Rainbow Hospice.
There will be rides provided by Conley’s Funfair in the car park of the Globe Inn and the Woolpack as well as a magician and a balloon bender to entertain the children.
Have a go at millinery and make your own fascinator in the Town Hall while enjoying an African drumming and storytelling performance by Global Arts of Gloucester.
Stalls selling a variety of food, crafts and gifts will be on offer along the high street which will also be the stage for the parade of festive lanterns which have been created by children from the Park Infant and Park Junior School.
The parade will leave from the War memorial at 5pm to the doctors surgery where Stonehouse Mayor Chris Brine will turn on the Christmas lights.
