THE husband of best-selling novelist Jilly Cooper has died aged 79.
Leo Cooper, a publisher of military histories, died peacefully at the couple's home in Bisley on Friday.
He had gradually lost his independence after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease more than a decade ago.
In interviews novelist Cooper insisted she would not put her husband in a care home and said she would carry on working to cover the care bills.
