CHRISTMAS revellers took to the streets of Painswick on Friday for the annual Goodwill Festival.

Shops, arts studios and businesses stayed open for the fifth Christmas goodwill evening which attracted dozens to the town centre.

The famous 99 Painswick yew trees and St Mary’s Church were lit up for the event and many families attended the Christmas market in the town hall and visited the arts and craft stalls in the Painswick Centre.

In true festive fashion Christmas carols and hymns rang out through the town performed by the Painswick Community Choir.

Meanwhile visitors enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine while taking in some of the attractions which included visiting the newly opened Art Couture gallery.
