IT'S in the bag for a host of Stroud celebrities who have earned a coveted spot on a cotton carrier.
Artists Jo Fry and Julie Howe, who run Art Flea, have created the Stroud Stars shopping bag in support of the town becoming plastic bag free.
The bags, made with 100 per cent fairtrade and ethically sourced cotton, feature well-known figures Ecotricity founder Dale Vince, deputy mayor John Marjoram and Elvis impersonator Joe Reeve.
"Stroud Stars is a celebration of the people who make Stroud so unique," said Julie.
"There is a mix of faces who all try to make life better and more fun in Stroud, from councillors and shop owners to landlords."
Only 100 bags have been printed and are available from the Nothing but Navy shop, in Kendrick Street, Stroud at £12.
With more bags planned, Jo and Julie are looking for suggestions on who to feature next.
