POLICE are appealing for witnesses or information after a man exposed himself to a woman in the grounds of Stratford Park Leisure Centre in Stroud over the weekend.

The incident happened between 9.50am and 10am on Sunday December 22.

The woman was walking down the slope at the entrance to the pedestrian area of the leisure centre when she saw movement in an alcove to the left hand side of the steps.

A man who was facing the wall turned to her while exposing himself and committing a lewd act. The woman walked on and the man walked away towards the car park.

The offender is described as being of "quite thin build" and wearing a grey hoodie with the hood pulled down over his face. He had a black bomber jacket over the hoodie and may have been wearing jeans.

Anyone who was at the leisure centre who may have witnessed the incident or the offender should call 101, quoting incident 164 of December 22.

Officers are investigating whether the incident is linked to similar offences in the area in the past few weeks. A 25-year-old Stroud man arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure remains on police bail until January 30 in connection with those incidents.
