DOZENS of families turned out in support of St Rose's School at a fundraising event at King's Stanley Village Hall.
Children enjoyed a disco, bouncy castle and a visit from Father Christmas and Mickey and Minnie Mouse at the party on Saturday, December 21.
There was also a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
Money is still being collected but organisers say they have raised more than £500 which will be matched by Barclay's bank.
St Rose's, which last year celebrated its centenary, could face closure because it is no longer financially viable due to a substantial fall in the number of pupils.
Governors and trustees are discussing an urgent future action plan.
Friends Laurie Harrod and Christina Tidy, who both work as carers themselves, organised the fundraiser after hearing about the cash-strapped school.
A petition set up by parents to save St Rose’s School has attracted more than 1,650 signatures.
