MOTHER and son baking duo hope to rise to the challenge when they appear on Britain’s Best Bakery this month.

Award winning Stroud baker Dominic Salter and his business partner mum Annette Salter will appear on the ITV show at 4pm next Wednesday when they compete against two other bakery’s in the region in the hope of progressing through to the next round of the competition.

In order to get to the next stage Dominic and Annette will have to win over judges Mich Turner MBE, from the Little Venice Cake Company, and restaurateur Peter Sidwell as they undergo a series of challenges.

Amongst their bakes for the competition the duo will make their trademark nettle and roast onion sourdough which they sell at the bakery they have owned for 10 years, the Sandwich Box, in Cheltenham.
