A TECHNICAL issue with the police recruitment application process has now been resolved.
Following the temporary removal of the relevant weblink members of the public who wish to apply to become police officers can now register and complete an eligibility test after visiting www.gloucestershire.police.uk/Recruitment/item4176.html
Gloucestershire Constabulary apologises for any inconvenience caused and in light of this issue has extended the submission deadline to 4pm on Sunday, January 12.
This is the first time in more than three years that Gloucestershire Constabulary has externally recruited police officers.
Suzette Davenport, chief constable of Gloucestershire Police, said: "We are looking for a group of dedicated individuals, committed to what can sometimes be a very difficult job.
"However, I believe it is a privilege to be a police officer and the right people will find it a hugely rewarding experience."
