A GROUP of Marling School students set off this morning from Stratford Park at 8am on their Pink Escape

The aim is to get as far away from Stroud as possible using just £10, a passport and some charm.

Altogether 33 teenagers will don bright pink Morph suits for the stunt to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

Their ringleader Luke Walpole, 17, said the plan was for the 11 teams of three to get as far away from Stroud as possible in just 36 hours.

“My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer last November and only got the one year all clear a couple weeks ago," said Luke, from Quedgeley.

"We all know someone who has been touched by this disease, it resonates with pretty much everyone.

“Breast Cancer Care has been able to answer around 17.5 million client requests in the last 10 years, be that to support, give advice or just be a shoulder to cry upon. They have always been there."
