A FREE course to support friends and relatives who are worried about substance misuse will launch next month.
The six weekly sessions aimed at introducing people who are facing similar concerns about alcohol and substance misuse of a loved one starts on Thursday, February 27 between 10.30am and 1pm.
The programme will pilot at Family Focus in Gloucester and cover a variety of topics and provide the group with information, support and ideas to manage their situations.
The initiative is part of the Positive Caring learning and support programme for unpaid carers which is provided by Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.
Positive Caring have been working in partnership with Turning Point, Nelson Trust, Carers Gloucestershire and Carer and Parent Support Gloucestershire to deliver the new service.
