FORMER Poet Laureate and the current president of the Campaign to Protect Rural England Sir Andrew Motion will be the guest speaker at CPRE Gloucestershire’s AGM this April.
Sir Andrew, who was poet laureate from 1999 until 2009, succeeded Bill Bryson as the national president of the CPRE in 2012 and is well known for his strong views and criticism of the Government for ‘speaking up for green field housing estates rather than green fields themselves’.
This year CPRE Gloucestershire is holding its AGM at Berkeley Castle from 2.30pm on April 10.
