TINY tots now have a new place to play and learn after a baby and toddler playgroup was launched last week.
Jelly Tots, which is based at Brimscombe Primary School in Brimscombe Hill is not exclusively linked to the school and welcomes any children and parents or carers from the Stroud area.
Karen Riordan, headteacher at Brimscombe School, said: “We know how important it is for a child’s development both socially, emotionally and physically to have groups such as these,
The group, which will run between 9am and 11am every Monday during term time, is run by parents who have child care and teaching expertise and is open to children of all ages from babies to pre-schoolers.
Sarah Seward, parent and co-ordinator of Jelly Tots, said: “As a parent I know how isolating it can be at times.
“We hope that our group will provide a stimulating outlet for little ones and a support network for mums, dads and carers to share the ups and downs of bringing up children.”
